Join us this week for a great session on scaling Hyperic HQ. Increasingly,
HQ users are deploying our systems management software to monitor 1000s of
resources, and 10s of 1000s of metrics a minute. To reach these levels of
scale, it is important to tune your HQ Server and database to keep pace with
that scale.
In this session, Alex Ma from Hyperic and David Fetter from PostgreSQL will
join together to share their favorite tips on scaling HQ.
This discussion will last 30-minutes, and afterwards you'll have the chance
to ask Alex or David any questions about scaling Hyperic HQ.
This HyperCAST will show attendees the following:
* Resource utilization and HQ
* Operating system tuning
* Database tuning
* Multiple instances of HQ server
Notes on ReadyTalk:
The HyperCAST utilizes ReadyTalk, a cross-platform online conferencing
service. When you follow the links to RSVP, you will receive a confirmation
email with instructions on using ReadyTalk, including contact information
for ReadyTalk support. In our experience, ReadyTalk has worked flawlessly
for most platforms, including Mac OSX, Windows, and Linux x86.
